Rehau bifold door repair.
We assess Rehau systems for dropped or dragging panels, worn rollers, stiff handles, locking faults, and draughts caused by failed seals. The system name can be useful context; the assessment establishes what it actually needs.
Positioning
Rehau is a German manufacturer of polymer systems. Its Agila multi-fold door uses a 70mm profile compatible with the Total70 range and can be configured as either top-hung or bottom-rolling. Locally, Rehau doors are fitted by Homechoice Glazing in Kent and BSF Windows in West Sussex.
Rehau Agila running gear and uPVC alignment — what we see most on Rehau doorsets
Rehau Agila is not just a generic uPVC frame with folding hardware added afterwards. The Agila system is built around the Total70 profile family, and the running arrangement can be top-hung or bottom-rolling. That distinction matters when a customer describes a door as "off its rollers": the component carrying the load may be at the head rather than in the threshold.
On a bottom-rolling Agila set, the condition of the running track and the way the roller assembly is carrying the sash are central to the diagnosis. On a top-hung configuration, attention moves to the upper track, carriers and the frame’s ability to hold the load. Treating both arrangements as the same repair can lead to the wrong part being ordered.
We commonly see a stiff handle or a lock that will not engage alongside a panel that has moved out of square. The lock is often reporting the alignment problem rather than causing it. The correct sequence is to measure the frame and panels, establish whether the sash has settled, then check the shootbolts, keeps and compression once the geometry is understood.
Rehau’s Total70-compatible detailing also means that seals, gaskets and glazing packers cannot be treated as separate cosmetic items. Where a panel is no longer sitting square, sealing pressure becomes uneven and draughts can appear at the same time as dragging or difficult locking. We check those relationships rather than replacing a seal in isolation.

What the assessment actually involves.
This is not a quick look at the handle. Every assessment follows the same nine-stage diagnostic process, and the reason it takes the time it does is that it is the only way to quote accurately.
We start with the background and history of the doorset, then take extensive measurements for distortion and check the frame for square and twist. We test operation under load, check drainage paths, and inspect glazing, gaskets and packers. Where parts are involved, components and part numbers are verified against the manufacturer, and every measurement and observation is cross-checked against the manufacturer’s recommended tolerances. Only once that cross-check is complete do we provide an accurate quotation.
The full process is set out stage by stage on our How it works page.

Cause, not just symptom
Pro-Lock checks the complete doorset and aims to return it to operation as intended by the manufacturer, rather than treating only the immediate symptom. This helps prevent unnecessary stress transferring to mechanical components, reduces the cycle of repeat repairs, and maximises long-term reliability and service life.
Your assessment is carried out by an experienced engineer, not a salesman. We complete an in-depth assessment of all aspects of your bifold doorset, talk you through the findings while we are on site, and provide the information in the report that accompanies the quotation for any repairs recommended.
The findings are followed by a comprehensive report and itemised quotation by email, with repairs arranged separately. No repair work is carried out during the assessment.
The £79 fee covers a professional bifold-door assessment of the complete doorset, credited against the repair cost if you go ahead, and refunded if suitable parts are unavailable and we cannot provide a quote, or if the doorset is considered beyond economical repair. £79 professional assessment, credited against any repair, or refunded if we cannot quote. 12-month warranty on completed repair work.
You do not need to identify your doorset first.
You do not need to identify your doorset before getting in touch. Many bifold doors are unbranded or contain a combination of components from different manufacturers. Identifying the system, cross-checking component and part availability, and sourcing suitable parts through our established European network of suppliers is our job. Pro-Lock regularly repairs bifold door systems that other repairers have classed as obsolete, where a suitable repair route can be identified.
Warranty
All work carried out is backed by our market-leading 12 month warranty, covering our workmanship and any parts supplied and fitted as part of the repair where applicable.
