Aliplast bifold door repair.
We regularly assess Aliplast systems for alignment, roller, hinge, locking and seal faults, subject to compatible parts being available.
Positioning
Aliplast is an Italian aluminium systems manufacturer whose profiles are used by fabricators. The assessment records the fitted system and hardware before a parts decision is made, in keeping with Pro-Lock’s repair-first approach.
Aliplast aluminium bifold alignment, roller wear and gasket faults — what we see most on Aliplast doorsets
Aluminium bifold systems can show alignment and roller wear as connected faults. A panel that no longer sits square can place uneven load through the running gear, so the panel position, rollers and surrounding frame are assessed together.
Hinge movement and locking faults can also follow a change in panel position. We check how the panels travel, meet and close before deciding whether the visible hardware fault is the cause or part of a wider alignment issue.
Gaskets and seals depend on consistent panel position and closing pressure. Where contact is uneven, we assess the seal, the panel geometry and the hardware relationship before specifying a replacement.
The fitted profile, hardware and component availability are recorded during the assessment. That information is needed before a compatible repair route can be considered responsibly.
What the assessment actually involves.
The £79 professional assessment is a structured inspection of the complete doorset. Pro-Lock takes measurements, tests operation, records detailed observations, verifies the fitted components, and checks the available repair route against the manufacturer’s tolerances.
You receive the findings and an itemised quotation by email after the assessment, with repairs arranged separately.
The full process is set out stage by stage on our How it works page.
Open the assessment processWhat we assess
- Fractured or damaged hinges
- Broken, worn, or disconnected rollers
- Dragging, dropped, or misaligned panels
- Panels catching the threshold or header
- Difficult closing or locking
- Faulty locks, cylinders, handles, keeps, tracks, guides, and seals
Cause, not just symptom
Pro-Lock checks the complete doorset and aims to return it to operation as intended by the manufacturer, rather than treating only the immediate symptom.
A replacement roller or adjustment may not solve the problem if another part of the doorset is contributing to the fault. Measurement and observation help identify the underlying cause before we choose compatible repair work.
The £79 fee covers a professional bifold-door assessment of the complete doorset. £79 professional assessment, credited against any repair, or refunded if we cannot quote. 12 month warranty on completed repair work.
You do not need to identify your doorset first.
You do not need to identify your doorset before getting in touch. Many bifold doors are unbranded or contain a combination of components from different manufacturers. Identifying the system, cross-checking component and part availability, and sourcing suitable parts through our established European network of suppliers is our job. Pro-Lock regularly repairs bifold door systems that other repairers have classed as obsolete, where a suitable repair route can be identified.
Warranty
All work carried out is backed by our market-leading 12 month warranty, covering our workmanship and any parts supplied and fitted as part of the repair where applicable.
